Baseball Hitting & Defense Instructor

Scott Wingo is the current Volunteer Assistant Coach for the University of Notre Dame Baseball program where he works with the outfielders and assists with coaching the Irish on the base paths as well. Wingo played collegiate baseball at the University of South Carolina, where he was 2-time College World Series Champion in 2010 and 2011. As a senior in 2011, he was a team captain, 1st Team All-SEC, and was the College World Series Most Outstanding Player. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 11th round of the 2011 MLB Draft and played 3 seasons in the Dodgers Minor League organization. After his playing career was completed, Wingo began coaching as a student assistant at his alma mater and coached in the Coastal Plains League, a collegiate wood bat summer league. He then went on to coach for the North Greenville University and the University of Jacksonville baseball teams. During his time as a coach, he has worked with hitters, infielders, outfielders, and base runners.
