The 1st source bank Performance Center is proud to welcome Payton Carney as a pitching instructor. Payton graduated in 2019 from Hudsonville High School (MI) in metro Grand Rapids area where he recorded an 1.29 ERA his senior year and was selected as an all conference pitcher. He then played 2 seasons at Lake Michigan College then to transfer to Indiana University South Bend in 2022. In the 2023 season, Payton lead the team in starts his senior season and played a big role in their pitching rotation. Payton ended up winning honors with CCAC gold glove on the mound helping their team to the second best season in program history. He currently lives in downtown South Bend, IN.
