Taylor played 4 years at Division-2 Notre Dame College of Ohio as a true utility player at 1st Base, Designated Hitter, & Pitcher. During his time at Notre Dame College, they never finished below 3rd place in the conference. As a sophomore closer, he had an ERA of 3.1 prior to becoming injured. As a senior I led the team in batting average and on base percentage. Taylor became the varsity assistant head coach and pitching coach at John Adams HS in 2016. Taylor coached for the South Bend Cubs Travel Baseball teams in the summer.
